BID OPPORTUNITY – Village Green Basketball Courts Project

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township Committee of the Township of Lumberton, County of Burlington, New Jersey, for the Village Green – Basketball Courts Project until 10:00 AM prevailing time on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the office of the Township Clerk of the Township of Lumberton, County of Burlington, at 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, NJ 08048.

The proposed project includes the construction of the basketball courts by pulverizing the asphalt in place at the existing tennis courts at Village Green. Two (2) side-by-side basketball courts are to be constructed with new posts/backboards and basketball court coating/ striping, removal of chain link fencing and installation of benches and trash receptacles.

Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the proposed work, prepared by Environmental Resolutions, Inc., Consulting Engineers, have been filed in the Office of the Township Engineer at 815 East Gate Drive – Suite 103, Mount Laurel, New Jersey 08054, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during normal business hours.

Bidders may obtain copies of the Drawings, Specifications and Contract Documents from the above office upon payment of Fifty dollars ($50.00). Checks should be made payable to Environmental Resolutions Inc. The payment for contract documents is non-refundable. If contract documents are to be mailed, there is an additional $10.00 fee for postage.

Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specification. The Contractor shall provide three (3) copies of their bid package. The proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the contract description on the outside, and addressed to: Mr. Brandon Umba, Lumberton Township, 35 Municipal Drive, Lumberton, NJ 08048.

Each bid must be accompanied by the documents listed on the Bid Document Submission Checklist and a proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Total Price Bid in the proposal; except that when the Total Price Bid is $200,000.00 or more, the amount of the proposal guarantee shall be $20,000.00. In no case shall the guarantee be less than $500.00.  The proposal guarantee must be in the form of a bid bond, or certified check, or cashier’s check or a combination thereof, and must be drawn to the order of Lumberton Township, and must be delivered at the place and by the hour above-named.  Proposals received after the designated time shall be deemed unresponsive and shall not be opened.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq and N.J.A.C. 17:27.

The Township of Lumberton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any insignificant defect or informality in any bid should it be in the interest of the Township to do so.
