This program is open to children who are entering K-8th grades in the 2008-2009 school year. Practices will begin in August, games will be in September and October 2008. We will not be holding assessments this year Fee: $60 resident/ $70 non resident.

CHESS SUMMER CAMP
This program is open to children ages 6 and up and all levels are welcome. Silver Knights Chess Co. is offering full and half day camps. Camps will be held in the Twp. Community Room from July 28, 2008- August 1, 2008/ Full day schedule is 9am-4pm, half day camp is from 9am-12pm, or 1pm-4pm. Instructors include a two-time U.S. Open champion and the current state champions of AZ and PA. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and tournament style chess set. Fee: $300 full day/ $175 half day

LUMBERTON ALL-SPORT SPEED & CONDITIONING CAMP
An innovative and intense speed camp developed to enhance the athletes speed for any sport! Learn how to run faster and efficiently for: football, soccer, softball, track, basketball, baseball, lacrosse & tennis. Each athlete will receive 4 days of training, 2 hours each day of instructional lessons on how to improve their speed for all sports. A total of 8 hours of training that will improve your athletic agility and basic conditioning. Dates are July 7-10 or July 14-17 from 8:30am unti 10:30am for ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 17. The fee for this program is $125.00 for the week.

GLAMOUR CLUB FOR GIRLS
This five week course, starting July 12, will be available to girls ages 6-11. The program will cover social graces, proper etiquette, diet and nutrition, hair and nail care maintenance, basic modeling, and photo shoot.

PONY GROOMING AND RIDING PROGRAM
This week long program is available for children ages 7-11, starting August 18th-22nd, 4:30pm-6pm. Some of the horsemanship matters covered will include: safety on and around horses, basic anatomy, equine senses and body language, grooming, the tack and the harness, driving the miniature horse, and barn management. Some short riding will also be done in each session. This program enhances teamwork, self esteem, and camaraderie while helping to develop a genuine appreciation and respect for the animals. Proper attire must be worn: long pants, strong (hiking type) shoes and bicycle helmet. Space is limited, so register early.

TUMBLIN TOTS
This program focuses on building motor skills and coordination while children are having fun and developing social skils. Classes will involve movement, gymnastics, games, listening, and cooperation. This 6 week program will begin July 2nd. Fee: $60 resident / $70 non resident.

LUMBERTON SENIORS
The Lumberton Township Recreation Department is hosting a trip to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse to see "My Three Angels." The trip is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2008. The cost is $75 per ticket and includes transportation, admission to the playhouse, and a full course luncheon. A minimum of 40 people is needed to run the trip.
